Biblical Truths Taught in AWANA
About eternal life:
1. All people are sinners (Romans 3:23).
2. The payment for sin is death-separation from the perfect, righteous God (Romans 6:23; Galatians 3:10).
3. A person cannot make himself perfect, neither can anyone earn his salvation, because good works won't work (Ephesians 2:8,9).
4. Christ died to pay for all sin, and then He rose again from the dead (1 Corinthians 15:3,4).
5. A home in heaven is freely given to all who by faith receive Christ as Savior. Faith alone in Christ alone (Romans 3:28; Romans 4:5).
6. Salvation cannot be lost or taken away, therefore, every believer can KNOW he is eternally saved (1 John 5:13).
"These things have I written unto you who believe on the name of the Son of God that you may know that you have eternal life . . ." (I John 5:13).
About the Christian life: (AFTER a person has trusted in Christ as Savior, the following truths should be put into practice. These have NOTHING to do with BECOMING saved, but they apply to one who is ALREADY saved.)
1. . Let God talk to you. Read, study, and meditate on God's Word (2 Timothy 2:15; Psalms 119:105).
2. You talk with God. Pray constantly to your Heavenly Father (Ephesians 6:18).
3. Talk with other believers. Get involved in a Bible-teaching church (Hebrews 10:25).
4. Talk with those around you about your Savior, Jesus Christ (Ephesians 6:19; Romans 1:16).
